BushWhacker apparel and products is the brainchild of two bushwhacking enthusiasts. Back in the 1990's these two bushwhackers wanted something more from the hikes they were going on. Following the crowds left them with a feeling that they were discovering nothing new and the designated trails offered no sense of exploration. That's when they decided to leave the beaten trail and venture out on their own to where no one had gone before. They discovered the thrill of bushwhacking; off trail hiking. Initially they took with them their usual hiking gear and very soon found out that it could not stand up to the challenges that were presented when leaving the developed trails behind. Gloves disintegrated from their hands, rain gear was quickly torn to shreds, backpacks were clawed to pieces, and everything else was clearly designed for the wide open spaces that designated trails offer. Gerry and Geoff searched for equipment that could match their needs. There was none. Until now.
